Meanwhile, Across the Pond…

No sooner had I posted the previous item about the “gravitoelectric effect” than another article showed up on my desktop, courtesy my friends over at the fusor.net forums.

The online journal of the European Space Agency  reported on March 23 that scientists working for the ESA “believe they may have measured the gravitational equivalent of a magnetic field for the first time in a laboratory.”  The money quote in this article reads,

Just as a moving electrical charge creates a magnetic field, so a moving mass generates a gravitomagnetic field.

…which, once again, just sounds to me like modern scientists “discovering” what Townsend Brown first identified back in 1923.
Oh well, at least they’re finally catching on, even if it has taken like 80+ years…

I suggest we talk about this, too, in the Science section of the forums.
