Hi Jess, both your Google Drive and your Wix blog appear to have vanished overnight. So has your Reddit account.

So that's an interesting and very normal thing that just happened.

They don't work for me, either, Jess.
"Jess" has vaporised his online presence, which makes me wonder both if he was in fact Jess, or if he was Jess, then if Jess was ever who he claimed to be. Such is life on the Townsend Brown beat. We've had a lot of postings from people who don't exist over the years.

I did download those files before he wiped them, if you would like me to upload them here, or somewhere else.

Yes, please Nate!

Jan has my offline contact info and I also sent you a DM via the forum.

Coming back around to Jess Fritch via the 2014 Secret Space Program conference videos.

It was good to finally see Linda Brown *LIVE* on video.

Ok, so the Jess files I have are 300 megabytes zipped, and won't fit here. I've uploaded them to the Internet Archive as I did with Project Montgolfier (which is included in this ZIP):

https://archive.org/details/townsend-brown-files

The reason I didn't upload them earlier is because I was quite worried by Jess' weird behaviour in erasing his Internet presence, and wanted to see if he would pop up again to explain why, or whether he would be deeply offended by my sharing them. I haven't really looked at them beyond the Montgolfier ones because they mostly seemed like stuff we've seen before. However it might be useful to have them all in one place.

I'll add a summary of the files below.

First the patents. Dates are filing dates. I think I haven't seen all of these. They don't seem to all be available on Google patent search.

GB300311, "A Method of and an Apparatus or Machine for Producing Force or Motion", 15 Aug 1927, Zanesville Ohio
1974483, "Electrostatic Motor", 7 February 1930, Zanesville Ohio

2949550, "Electrokinetic Apparatus", 3 July 1957, Umatilla Florida, Whitehall-Rand Inc
- this one also refers to an application of 13 June 1952, "which application has become abandoned"
3018394, "Electrokinetic Transducer", 3 July 1957, Umatilla Florida, Whitehall-Rand Inc
3033430, "Electrokinetic Generator", 3 July 1957, Umatilla Florida, Whitehall-Rand Inc

"Brown Journal Book 1", web page printout, entries 1-76, 1955-1958
"Brown Journal Book 2", web page printout, entries 77-122, 1958-1973, missing period 1958-1967 still missing as always

"Electrogravitics and Field Propulsion P1", web printout of an article by Paul LaViolette's Starburst Foundation, date unknown
"Electrogravitics and Field Propulsion P2", web printout of an article by Paul LaViolette's Starburst Foundation, date unknown
"Electrogravitics and Field Propulsion P3", web printout of an article by Paul LaViolette's Starburst Foundation, date unknown

"Electrogravitics Systems", a mashup of the infamous Feb 1956 report by "Gravity Research Group, Aviation Studies (International) Limited, London" (22 pages) plus the essay "Electrogravitics: Back to the Future" by Paul LaViolette from Electric Spacecraft Journal Oct/Nov/Dec 1991, plus his Raum & Zeit "Electrogravitics - an Energy-Efficient Means of Spacecraft Propulsion" as above. This package is probably the document LaViolette was selling in the early 1990s.

"Electrohydrodynamics" by Seabrook Hull & Associates and Electrokinetics Inc, March 1960. Probably from soteria.com, may have been retyped, copyright date 1996 and 1997 Optical Mutimedia.

"Electrokinetic Apparatus" - "Excerpts from US Patent Ser. No. 669,830, filed 3, 1951". Allegedly "Published in Psychic Observer, Vol XXXVII, No 1" (This was actually the merged "Psychic Observer & Chimes" magazine, and yes Vol 37 No 1 was January 1976, a special Townsend Brown issue), but has obviously been retyped (no images) and then scanned. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia

Re Psychic Observer & Chimes 37/1, which at two years earlier than William Moore's "Wizard of Electrogravity", seems to have been a major inflection point in the development of Townsend's legend in the New Age and UFOlogical community:

https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDe ... 1_26-_-bdp
Psychic Observer & Chimes Volume XXXVII January - March Number One Journal of Spiritual Science
Dreiband, Susan (editor)
Published by ESPress, Inc., Washington DC, 1976
covers have very heavy wear, rubbing, creasing and soil, corners and ends of spine heavily rubbed and rounded, stapled binding tight, no writing, 96 pages, new age/ science style publication with articles on weight free flight, gravitational control, flying saucers, self potential in rocks, Leslie Flint, medium, interview and an encounter in the Devil's Triangle, bw illustrations Size: 5.5 x 8.5. Seller Inventory # 039493
And here, have a nice high-res scan of that cover, since it's downloadable:
townsend-brown-psychic-observer-1976.jpg
but back to the PDFs:

"Electrokinetic propulsive system Proposal" - scan of 9 typed pages plus folder (not Townsend's special typewriter, but signed by Townsend as "consultant"). Title "Tests of Electrokinetic Propulsive System in Various Fluids and in Vacuum", dated 15 September 1955

"Electrokinetic Transducer" - unsigned, undated, retyped two-page article titled "Electrokinetic Transducer: A Discussion on the Validity of a Patent". Reads like Townsend's patent application language. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Electrostatic Precipitator (with disposable collector plates)" - retyped, apparently two letters from Townsend to a "Mr K" dated 16 November 1966 (Covina California) and 13 June 1967 (San Francisco California). From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"How I Control Gravitation"- Townsend's infamous 1920s article, retyped and labeled "Published in Psychic Observer, Vol XXXVII, No 1". From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Method and Apparatus for Producing Ions" - preliminary patent application, 15 August 1978, retyped. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Mongolfier Report" - the English translation by Ray Lavas, 125 pages, with Qualight logo and Smashwords URL for "The Good-Bye Man" by Linda Brown and Jan Lofton. This is the document I uploaded earlier.

"Montgolfier Projet - original French" - scan of the original French document, typewritten with sepia photographs, 151 pages.

"Nellis Range UFO" - a brief essay by Steven Greer describing a video from his CSETI.org website with no apparent Townsend link at all, printed 2001.

"Phenomenal Variations in the Self-Potential of Rocks" - two page letter presumably from Townsend Brown dated 15 April 1985, Catalina Island, presumably retyped. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Plasma-Dynamic Speaker" - preliminary patent application dated 7 Dec 1969, Menlo Park California, retyped. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Project Winterhaven" - appears to be a scan of the infamous 1950s document (undated but must be sometime after 1 January 1953, the date of the org chart) by Townsend Brown proposing a military project to study electrogravity including "disc airfoils". The four unclassified patents listed on page 3 are in the patent file.

"Reactionless Propulsion and Active Force" - an essay by Alexander Frolov, dated 20 June 1998, printed from soteria.com in 2001

"Research and Preliminary Engineering Space Vehicle Program" - a proposal from Townsend Brown dated 1 December 1955, apparently restating his Winterhaven project. Not sure if I've seen this one. 24 pages. Retyped, and sections may be out of order. From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"Research and Preliminary Engineering Space Vehicle Program 2" - appears to be page 7-15 of the document above, but HTML formatted as a web page. Printed from soteria.com in 2001.

"saucers.pdf" - the Los Angeles Times 8 April 1952 article "Flying Saucers 'Explained' by Men of New Research University Here". One page, retyped, with photo of Townsend Brown, Bradford Shank and Mason Rose, and stamped with "TeslaEngine.org". I believe this is the same document I posted here a while back. It would be awesome if we could somehow source the actual original LA Times article and not a dodgy recreated one of unknown provenance, but the text is probably accurate-ish.

"STS-48_Report" - a highly speculative essay by Dr John C "Jack" Kasher from a MUFON symposium, about alleged UFOs (which may have been ice crystals) seen from a Space Shuttle flight, with no connection to Townsend. Unless one counts the synchronicity of "STS-48" vs "S-48" which I suspect Jess and maybe Linda did, but doesn't do much for me.

"The Biefield - Brown Effect" - a web page summarising Townsend Brown extremely briefly by Nils Rognerud, copyright 1996, printed 1999.

"The Fluid Pump" - presumably extracts from a patent application, no number stated. Retyped and labeled, "Published in Psychic Observer, Vol XXXVII, No 1". From soteria.com, copyright date 1997 Optical Multimedia.

"The Flying Saucer - Original" - this one looks valuable. Appears to be a scan of a stapled photocopy of a typewritten document with drawn diagrams , presumably some actual original form of Mason Rose's 1952 "The Flying Saucer" article. Dated 5 April 1952. 8 pages, stamped "Property of the Pacific Aeronautical Library"

"The Flying Saucer" - a very poor rendition (retyped, no diagrams) of The Flying Saucer, labelled "Published in Science and Invention</u>, August 1929, and Psychic Observer, Vol. XXXVII, No. 1". From soteria.com.

"The Gravitics Situation" - fairly poor but legible scan of what appears to be (before photocopying) an original typewritten document of "The Gravitics Situation", December 1956, by Martin L Perl for "Gravity Rand Ltd" in London. Equations are handwritten.

"The Gravitics Situation 2" - text-only rendition of The Gravitics Situation from the Rex Research website. Unknown quality. Equations have been retyped in Microsoft Word.

"The Hull latter" - letter from Townsend Brown to "Ed Hull" (Edward Whaley Seabrook Hull), handwritten date of "11-1955". Stamped "Gray Barker Collection, Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library". I believe this one is from the document set that "Plaidum" uploaded to this forum or one of Linda's back in the day.

"The Mathematical Theory of Electricity and Magnetism" - textbook by Henry William Watson and SH Burbury, 1885, Clarendon Press. Vol 1, "Electrostatics". Republished by Forgotten Books, 2013. 318 pages. A textbook that Townsend quoted, I believe.

"THE NAVY-PRINCETON GRAVITY EXPEDITION TO THE WEST INDIES IN 1932" - Townsend Brown's report on the 1932 Gravity Cruise on the USS S-48. 8 pages, a good reproduction of the original with fonts preserved.

"The Wizard of Electro-gravity" - a poor rendition (HTML formatted, text only) of William Moore's 1978 article from "Saga UFO Report" which he later added as an appendix to his 1979 "The Philadelphia Experiment: Project Invisibility". Printed 2001 from soteria.com, no copyright date.

"The Wizard of Electro-gravity Revisited" - a similarly poor rendition of another Saga UFO Report article from William Moore. But may be valuable because this article isn't often seen. Date not given but text describes Townsend as "76 years old", which presumably puts this one in 1981.

"Towards Flight without Stress or Strain or Weight" - a low-contrast but accurate looking (perhaps from microfiche) scan of the infamous 1956 Interavia article by "Intel". Includes a photo of Townsend, a very poor photo of a disc, and a couple of diagrams.

"TT Brown - Vega Aircraft Corp Burbank CA - Notes" - scan of Townsend's Vega notebook, handwritten. 130 pages. Appears to be the whole document of which "Structure of Space" is only part. The pages (if the number in the top right is a page number) don't appear to be in order. Begins 29 Dec 1942, with page (Edit) 70 (Wave-guide transmission of "splash" radiation), jumps to the 60s, then 30s, then 40s. Dates in top left are also not in correct order. "Structure of Space" pages (S. numbers) also appear randomly. Many diagrams are illegible because of extreme low contrast scan. Still, this is an even more rare document than Structure of Space (unless it's also up on the Rex Research site). It would be very interesting to see what Townsend's "day job" research was in 1942 and how it compared with his weird way-out-there flights of speculation in the same time and place.

"TTB_Proposal_Blueprints_1-3" - blueprints for a vacuum test chamber, no year or author given, but I would guess from 1955 if they accompany Townsend's "test proposal" from that year.

That was a lot. The pictures will have to wait for another day.

Ok so I'm going to ignore the pictures for the moment because they are not really my business and I can't do much with them.

The Vega notebook and its scrambled pages, however, I can.

Here's an initial outline of the transcription, with start and end lines of each incomplete page, to try to get a sense of how the pages will need to be unscrambled. (Transcription completed up to PDF page 14). This won't make much sense at the moment because most of the text is missing, so please don't share this or it will just confuse everyone.

But juggling with this, I think I can see how it fits together: there's about an 80-page numbered section on antenna design (in about three jumbled but mostly-sequential parts), then "Part 2" with "S." numbers, which is Structure of Space (another 50 pages).

By any chance does anyone have a PDF copy (or even HTML, ASCII txt) of Linda's tome written after the Before Times and over a decade before TMMG? Pretty please!

BTW, Nate, thank you for the library catalog. Massive work there and great collection by Jess.

I hope he and Linda have plans for where their hardcopy archives will be held. Denison would make sense..
