The B52s - Roam

It's just been stuck in my head for the last couple weeks. For me personally as a late Gen-X it captures that brief euphoric moment at the end of the Cold War when barriers fell around the world and the realisation set in that at last you could go *anywhere* and all the old war secrets would be opened. The joy didn't last long but that promise is still there.
And again somehow it seems like a song for Linda and Morgan.
If you had an 'unusual mode of transport' - where would you go?
Boy Mercury shooting through every degree
Oh girl dancin' down those dirty and dusty trails..
Roam if you want to
Without wings, without wheels
