Should have been clearer.
This is not a personal request, more a request for those that post upon this forum to simply display that they are able to.
Sort of a role call.
Have you never considered that it may be possible to bar your computer , if you start to get too near certain truths?

I have noticed several posters suddenly not posting, call it paranoia.
This system is totally reliant upon electricity , as it is at the moment, imagine if that failed?

Hi Andrew...this all reminds me of a 50's song...Transfusion by a dude named "Nervous Norvus". It was about street rod racing I think, but I might be wrong on that. One of the lyric lines went,"...shoot the juice to me Bruce".

Released in 1956 I think, and the real guy's name was Jimmy Drake...any relation Elizabeth ?

Chris Knight,
I ain't afraid of no ghosts.
It is not fear, it is concern , nothing stays the same, everything alters.
I am prepared for the unexpected, whatever that may be.
How do we know how any other poster is, or what their circumstances are?
If we had an instant communications device, that nobody else could see or hear, then fine, this is totally public , perhaps the best place to be?
But if someone suddenly goes off the screen, then what?

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates in general to radiation shields, and more particularly to a shield which converts radiation into ionic movement to dissipate same. Such a shield is suitable for use with devices that emit radiation, for example, a cellular telephone which emits radiation from an antenna.

[0003] 2. Background Art

[0004] Cellular telephones, and other devices, such as wireless devices, that communicate through the airwaves, transmit undesirable radiation when in use. While the relative quantity of radiation that is transmitted is not of great magnitude, repetitive use of such devices, especially in close proximity to the human body (i.e. a cellular telephone proximate the ear of the user), has been shown to impart relatively high levels of radiation which permeate the body of the user, and more particularly the head of the user. Such high levels of exposure have certain experts believing that the devices are relatively dangerous and may be a health risk.

[0005] One solution, designed to limit the quantity of radiation received by a user, has involved the use of separate microphone and speaker in the form of an earpiece. While this has limited the radiation emitted to the user, it is not without drawbacks. First, such a separate component adds complexity to the cellular telephone in the form of cords and plugs (which can become tangled and disconnect from the phone). Moreover, certain users are not comfortable with the use of earphones and microphones, and prefer the customary and conventional use of a telephone headset.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The invention comprises a radiation shield for use with a device that emits radiation. The shield comprises a barrier positioned between a source of radiation and an object to be shielded. The barrier includes means for converting radiation into ionic motion. In turn, the ionic motion dissipates the radiation and substantially precludes the radiation from reaching an object to be shielded.

[0007] In a preferred embodiment, the radiation converting means comprises an ionic conducting material positioned between the source of radiation and an object to be shielded. In one such embodiment, the ionic conducting material comprises a membrane supported by a frame. In one embodiment, the membrane is selected from the group consisting of one or more of: hydrated compounds, Nafion family materials, Nasicons, .beta. Alumina, .beta." Alumina, chalcogenides, halides, oxides, solid polymer electrolytes, aqueous salt solutions and gels, as well as mixtures thereof. Preferably, the ionic conductor includes a conductivity of at least 10.sup.-8 siemens/cm at ambient temperature.

[0008] In another preferred embodiment, the barrier further includes means for removing heat from the radiation converting means. In one such embodiment, the heat removing means comprises a heat sink associated with the radiation converting means. In a particular such embodiment, the heat sink comprises a metal, a ceramic and/or a polymer substrate. Preferably, the heat sink may comprise one of the group consisting of aluminum, graphite, magnesia and steel, as well as mixtures and alloys thereof.

[0009] In another aspect of the invention, the invention comprises the radiation shield identified above used in combination with a device having an antenna capable of emitting radiation. In such an embodiment, the barrier including means for converting radiation imparted by the antenna to toward a user, into ionic motion.

[0010] In one such embodiment, the invention further comprises means for slidably positioning the barrier relative to an antenna. In another such embodiment, the invention includes means for pivoting the barrier relative to an antenna.

[0011] The invention further comprises a method of precluding damage to a user from radiation emitted by an antenna of a device. The method comprises the steps of providing a barrier having means for converting radiation into ionic motion and positioning the barrier between a radiation emitting antenna of the device and a body surface of a human, to, in turn, facilitate receipt of radiation by the barrier.

[0012] In a preferred embodiment, the method further comprises the step of adjusting the barrier relative to the antenna or relative to the device to maximize receipt of radiation by the barrier. In one such embodiment, the step of adjusting further comprises the step of pivotally rotating the barrier relative to the antenna or the device. In another such embodiment, the step of adjusting further comprises the step of slidably moving the barrier relative to the antenna or device.

[0013] In another embodiment of the method, the method further comprises the step of associating a heat sink with the barrier to, in turn, dissipate heat from the barrier.

[0014] The invention further comprises a method of dissipating radiation emitted by a device, such as a cellular telephone. This method comprises the steps of emitting radiation from an antenna of the device; receiving radiation into a barrier; and converting the radiation into ionic motion within the barrier.

[0015] In one preferred embodiment, the method further includes the step of dissipating the heat generated within the barrier.

[0016] In another preferred embodiment, the method further comprises the step of adjusting the barrier relative to the antenna to maximize the receipt of radiation by the barrier.

BEST MODE FOR PRACTICING THE INVENTION

[0023] While this invention is susceptible of embodiment in many different forms, there is shown in the drawings and will be described in detail, several specific embodiments with the understanding that the present disclosure is to be considered as an exemplification of the principles of the invention and is not intended to limit the invention to the embodiments illustrated.

[0024] Referring now to the drawings, and, in particular, to FIG. 1 thereof, radiation shield is referred to generally as 10. Specifically, radiation shield 10 comprises barrier 15 which includes frame 26, means 30 for converting radiation into ionic motion and means 32 for removing heat from the radiation converting means. Radiation shield 10 is shown in FIGS. 2-4 as being associated with device 100 which may be a cellular telephone. The cellular telephone is of the type that includes speaker 105, microphone 110 and antenna 115. Antenna 115 emits outward radiation (i.e. waves of high frequency/short wavelength, such as microwaves) when device 100 (the cellular telephone) is in use. It has been determined that extended exposure to such radiation has harmful effects to humans and other animals. Of course, use of the device is not limited to cellular telephones, but has broader application to other devices that emit radiation, such as wireless communication devices and other business and consumer devices, for example, the wireless digital assistance device of FIG. 5.

[0025] Radiation converting means 30 is shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 as comprising ionic conducting material 40. In one embodiment, ionic conducting material 40 may comprise membrane 60 which is positioned and attached to frame 26 which, in turn, supports same. In other embodiments, the ionic conducting material may comprise a rigid structure which does not require frame 26 for support. While the radiation converting means 30 is shown in FIGS. 1-5 as comprising a substantially planar material, it is likewise contemplated that the radiation converting means may have various configurations, such as a surface configuration which, for instance, follows the contours of antenna 115, or of another feature of device 100. Moreover, while the radiation converting means is shown as comprising a material of substantially uniform thickness, various configurations, including those having varying thicknesses is likewise contemplated for use. As shown in FIG. 6, the device may be sized so as to effectively block a substantial majority of radiation, denoted by .alpha., imparted toward a user.

[0026] Depending on the embodiment, the material/membrane may comprise a variety of materials, including, but certainly not limited to, hydrated compounds (SiO.sub.2, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, etc.), Nafion family materials, Nasicons, .beta. Alumina, .beta." Alumina, chalcogenides, halides, oxides, solid polymer electrolytes, aqueous salt solutions and gels, as well as mixtures thereof. Such materials are configured so that the resulting radiation shield has an ionic conductivity of at least 10.sup.-8 siemens/cm at ambient temperature (i.e. about 70.degree. F.).

[0027] Heat removing means 32 is shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 as comprising heat sink 44. Heat sink 44 generally comprises metal, ceramic or polymer substrate which is positioned proximate the radiation converting means. In certain embodiments, the ionic conducting material may be attached directly to the heat removing means, wherein the heat removing means may provide additional support for the ionic conducting material. In certain embodiments, the heat sink may comprise a uniform member which matches the size of radiation converting means 30. In other embodiments, the heat sink may be of a configuration which is different than the radiation converting means, and may include non-uniform surfaces (i.e fins and the like). Most preferably, due to thermal conductivity characteristics, the heat sink comprises aluminum, graphite, magnesia or steel, as well as mixtures and alloys thereof, to adequately dissipate heat which is generated within the radiation converting means. In other embodiments, heat removing means 32 may comprise alone or in combination, heat sinks, fans and ventilation units (not shown).

[0028] Position adjusting means 20 is shown in FIGS. 3-5 as comprising slidable positioning means 34 (FIG. 3) and pivoting means 36 (FIG. 4). Slidable positioning means 34 includes slot 50 which cooperates with tabs 52. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, slot 50 extends into device (cellular telephone) 100, and slot 50 cooperates with tabs 52 so that barrier 15 can slide relative to device (cellular telephone) 100 and antenna 115. In other embodiments, the slot may be associated with the barrier and the tabs may be associated with the cellular telephone. In yet other embodiments, the slidable positioning means may be a separate component, rather than a component integrated with the cellular telephone.

[0029] Pivoting means 36 is shown in FIG. 4 as including axle 56 which is translationally fixed to device 100. Radiation shield 10 is permitted to rotate about axle 56 relative to device 100 and antenna 115 thereof. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, radiation shield 10 can rotate relative to cellular telephone 100 such that it may be placed in a stowed/collapsed position prior to use and in an operating orientation during use. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 5 (a digital assistant), shield 10 can rotate about axis 56 such that it can follow the position of antenna 115.

[0030] In operation, a device with an antenna that emits radiation is first provided to a user. Subsequently, radiation shield 10 is provided and associated with the device such that the radiation shield is positionable between the antenna (or other emitter of radiation) and the user's body when the device is in use.

[0031] Specifically, In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the radiation shield is slidably positionable from a stowed or collapsed position to an operating position proximate the antenna. Similarly, in the embodiments shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the radiation shield is rotatably positionable from a position which is internal to the telephone to an operating position proximate the antenna. In yet other embodiments, the radiation shield may be in a fixed operating position.

[0032] Once the radiation shield is provided and positioned, as the user utilizes the cellular telephone and transmissions are made therefrom, radiation is emitted through the antenna. As shown in FIG. 6, radiation, .alpha., extends outwardly therefrom in all directions. Some of the radiation is directed to the radiation shield and toward the user. As the radiation reaches the radiation shield, the radiation conversion means associated with the radiation shield receives the radiation, and converts the radiation energy into ionic motion of the particles of the ion conversion means. In turn, the radiation is dissipated as ionic motion.

[0033] Naturally, the ionic motion results in the generation of heat. Depending on the intensity of radiation emitted, the amount of heat (i.e. the change in temperature) generated can vary. In certain instances, it may be advantageous, and/or necessary, to associate heat removal means with the radiation conversion means. Specifically, heat is transferred from the radiation conversion means to heat sink 44 of heat removal means 32 where it is dissipated to the surrounding air. In certain embodiments, the heat removal means may comprise a small fan or other ventilation unit which may be associated with the heat sink, or directly with the radiation conversion means. The fan may be used to increase circulation of air proximate the radiation converting means, to, in turn, dissipate heat generated by same.

[0034] Once the use of the device is completed, and the emission of radiation ceases, the user may adjust the shield from an operating position into a stowed or collapsed position.

[0035] The foregoing description merely explains and illustrates the invention and the invention is not limited thereto except insofar as the appended claims are so limited, as those skilled in the art who have the disclosure before them will be able to make modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.

The SHADOE GOVERNMENT

Post by Langley »

OK, I thought about where I should dump this. And then I realised I have my thread to hog.

Oh, my spelling of "Shadow" up there, ha, its non-obvious. Flow knew all this stuff. Its been sitting in front of my face the whole time.

Anyhow, Teller and the Fan. I was perplexed by that. Brown's meeting with Teller. Look he's in the bowels of the Shadows. No matter what the technical specifics were. You don't talk to Teller in private AND TEACH HIM STUFF (Teller didnt "know how this works") without being BORN SECRET.

So who else has looked at the belly of the beast and had to live with it?

Well, that takes us to Hazel O'Leary and a little story a journo broke while Clinton was in office. The story makes abuduction by aliens and the credible denial of the use of anal probes seem totally banal.

"The Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory's Archives and Records Office's Role in the US Department of Energy's Human Radiation Experiment Records Search and Retrieval Project Lori L. Hefner Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory Openness: A Cultural Shift Without an open and thorough examination of the record, the revelation that the government conducted secret experiments on its own peoplehas the potential to increase distrust of government more than anything since Watergate or the war in Vietnam. But the fresh winds of truth from [the Department of Energy] could help to reverse the long decline of confidence in the government and in democratic processes -- Russell Watson. On November 8, 1993 I received a phone call from Albuquerque Tribune writer Eileen Welsome. Welsome had been researching a 1940s issue with the assistance of the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) Archives and Records Office periodically for several months. She said that she had completed her research, the article was ready to go to press, and that the attorneys from the Albuquerque Tribune were going to confront U.S. Secretary of Energy Hazel O'Leary with the findings. I had a sense that Welsome's research was very significant and very sensitive because she elected not to disclose the essence of her topic. We talked for several minutes about the pending release of her investigative reporting. I clearly remember telling Welsome to 'be careful.' She asked me what I meant. I said obliquely: 'Remember who you are dealing with. This is the former Atomic Energy Commission.'

This is the former Atomic Energy Commission.' I had read accounts about those who have challenged the U.S. Department of Energy (hereafter, DOE) and the reported lengths the DOE went to discredit its detractors. As Bernard Shaw stated in a CNN special entitled 'America's Nuclear Shame,' the DOE is the 'long shadowy part of the Federal Government. Its main job is to manage this nation's nuclear interest.' During the Cold War, the department had unprecedented powers to operate in secret. It used the cloak of secrecy 'to protect not only its operations, but also its power and influence--at almost any cost.' Welsome was definitely calling into question, if not preparing to humiliate publicly, that operation. I worried about what was to transpire. Using past organizational actions as a guide, I thought that the Secretary was likely to let Welsome's story run and then die its own quick media death. I fully anticipated that if a press officer responded it would be with the perfunctory: 'The U.S. Department of Energy neither confirms nor denies the story.' I hoped Welsome would not be harmed or professionally besmirched. When Welsome and I ended our conversation, I was full of adrenaline. I dashed off to the University of California, Berkeley to teach my archives and records management class. I told the students that something potentially very significant was about to be released to the public, and it would draw heavily from archives and records. Since classes were soon to be over, I advised them to watch their newspapers."

before the DOE, it was called the AEC and before that the Manhattan Project.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Gilbert_Hamilton

It enforced silence and created a two speed society where ordinary people could be forgiven for having an awareness of 1941 as if that was where time had stood still. But within the Shadow government technological progress was continuing on the basis of a secret program which had actually begun before Pearl Harbor, and which had been in response to the German discovery of fission. Brown's work with radiation and ions and motion and force, begun many years before hand had immense importance. And were I submit, Born Secret, or at least kidnapped into the secret family. The relationship between government and the people forever changed from 1942 and nowhere is this change more underlined than in the life of T Townsend Brown and his family. President Roosevelt warned us about it. Paul introduced a chapter with a quote from Roosevelt's speech about it. I might be wrong. But it makes sense to me.

Brown's work was treated as an atomic secret.

He was like a doctor who happened to be pursuing early nuclear medicine prior to 1942. And let's say that doctor was using a radio isotope to treat disease that later turned out to be a major fission product. In fact it was a fission product that acted like calcium and got into the milk. So do you think that doctor's work mapping the biochemistry would be in the open or the doctor's name known?

Guess the isotope and see if you can find the Doctor's name. Hint: He's buried in Canada, where he died in August 1941.

It could just be Twigsnapper, that my agenda and the Brown story have, for a moment, converged. It could also be that I am up a wattle. I dont thinks so though.

Klatuu Barada Nictoo, Flow.

When I look out my window, am I condemned to looking with knowledge obselete since 1941?
All because some people want to hide the proof of their prior knowledge and hence culpability"

Born Secret, Teller and DOE

Post by natecull »

The big question of 'if advanced physics was known to the Manhattan Project era people, why did they hide it?' bugs me the most about this whole investigation. Not just here - it's taken as a fundamental element of faith in the whole conspiracy-chic underground - but it's never really made sense to me. If you have invulnerable stealth space saucers in 1947, why not use them to drop bombs on Moscow? If you have them in 2008, why not use them to strafe insurgents in Afghanistan? This kind of technological leap seems like it would have won the Cold War at a stroke if the US military establishment had really had access to it. Heck, even a small motivated private group could probably have decapitated the superpowers and reshaped the entire world, in classic Bond-villain fashion. Why sit on it? And more importantly, *how* could you manage to derail the entire free-world's advanced physics programs by overtly banning knowledge without clueing *anyone* in mainstream science in to the idea that there might be something they've missed, 'more top secret than the atom bomb'? Wouldn't the physicists be swarming like hungry fire ants over the smallest hint of a Bigger Bang, government censors be damned?

But then we see what happens in our reality to people who even suggest antigravity or cold fusion: the 'mainstream physics establishment' with the DOE and people like Scientific American at its centre seems to smack them down hard, pour on the ridicule, hound them out of the universities. Almost like there really is a coverup of some kind. What's going on?

This 'Born Secret' stuff seems to give me a hint of a possible plausible explanation so some of these riddles - I can buy that Townsend Brown knew real nuclear secrets and so all his other research would fall behind that wall too, and that that's why people who know still can only talk in riddles. I can even buy - or at least imagine - that possibly perhaps Brown or Kozyrev or friends discovered a source of energy more potent than atomic fusion, and that that scared some responsible high-level AEC/DOE people into dropping a huge clampdown across that entire line of speculation. 'The H-bomb we can handle - maybe - at any rate that cat's out of the bag - but this stuff could really blow up the whole planet, better lock it down hard, one tiny research compartment and that's it...'

But just at that point I run out of suspension of disbelief. Because people like Teller seem to have been at the core of the H-bomb project and the hot-fusion projects, and *maybe* Teller knew more than he was telling about physics more interesting than hot fusion... but he doesn't strike me particularly as someone who had lots of moral qualms about building too big a bang, just the opposite. The fusion establishment he helped build that sucks up its billions of dollars for no apparently useful returns seems to genuinely believe that a) they're going to find a bigger bang, and b) they are the only ones who can find it. They don't seem to be big on either censoring their own results, or shy about doing risky experiments - 'if the LHC produces black holes, fine, that's not a big deal, stop panicking' etc.

And yet Teller's name seems to keep cropping up in association with these stories on the edge of credibility about fantastic suppressed super-science. Speaking to Townsend Brown, supposedly (if you put any credibility in Stan Deyo's tall stories) running a Brown-derived black USAF saucer program in the 1960s, etc.

I can't put those two images of Teller and the DOE together, somehow. The hot fusion establishment seems to have become shortsighted and self-obsessed and quite happy to persecute and blacklist any 'alternative' physics - but they don't give the impression of doing it because they know super-secrets, but rather because they *don't* and simply have a massive failure of imagination.

How can you both know something and not know it, I guess is my question? If Teller and/or the rest of the DOE knew about bigger bangs than fusion, why did they all waste huge amounts of national science resources chasing the controlled nuclear fusion dream, which is still as far away as it ever was?

Nate,

You just asked these questions,
"How can you both know something and not know it, I guess is my question? If Teller and/or the rest of the DOE knew about bigger bangs than fusion, why did they all waste huge amounts of national science resources chasing the controlled nuclear fusion dream, which is still as far away as it ever was?

(Or are there 'other forces', agencies that could be considered 'spiritual', also working in the shadows, trying to protect mankind from science we're not yet ready to responsibly use? And are all the big DOE/DOD high-ups just as much in the dark about 'them' as everyone else?)

I don't know if you realized it when you typed these words but your questions did in fact fall into that "either/or" and I submit to you that ALL of what you have said above could entirely be true.

" How can you both know something and not know it?"
Why did they waste huge amounts of resources? Is there a " spiritual force" at work here?" Are the big DOE/DOD high ups just as much in the dark about " them"?

Those are questions that I would just bet Morgan had the answers for and I would also bet that if we look hard enough we will find evidence that will support positive answers to those questions.

I especially like the first question. Speaking from experience maybe its because you have an intuition about what is going on around you but those next to you just haven't quite thought that you needed to know all of that, quite yet. So you have this nagging feeling that the truth of a matter is available to you.... but it doesn't quite become reality for you until others around you speak of it too. And perhaps that is what is happening here, on a world wide scale.

I have often wondered what would have happened in Linda Browns life if the operating forces around her had shifted from " She NEEDS not to know" to " She NEEDS to know." Elizabeth

I suppose what I am trying to say is that the feeling I get when reading some of the more mystical UFO-related writings, like the writings of Wilbert Smith and the Canadian Project Magnet (eg http://www.presidentialufo.com/smith.htm) is very similar to what I get from reading accounts of psychics. That there IS 'communication' of a kind happening, and not entirely hidden, but more that the people who know about it at an official level tend to be extremely... 'embarrassed' would be the word I would choose to describe their reaction. Secrecy or polite denial, yes, but not 'atomic energy' secrecy where they really believe there's something to it and are terrified it will be misued, but 'tawdry presidential sex scandal' sort of secrecy: it's just a huge embarrassment, everyone just really, really Does Not Want To Know and wishes they'd never heard of the material, can't see the slightest possible rational explanation or use for it, but can't get rid of it either, because the darn stuff has nuggets of truth in it. And worse, there are a few people who are interested in it, and they can't quite sweep them under the carpet. And to top it off, there may be actual secrets mentioned in passing. So, best thing to do is just classify the whole thing and make it disappear, like nuclear waste, and hope your grandchildren make some sense of it when everyone whose career it might ruin is safely dead.

That's the feeling I get... not 'oh wow we have a huge discovery here', but 'oh man... THAT stuff, don't touch it, yes it looks shiny but there's no story here, nothing to see, move along'. Something queasily avoided and tiptoed around because it's just this unsolveable riddle that never even starts making sense. Because you just need this whole different mindset to even begin and it's all too mystical and weird. It might as well be 'alien technology', or it might be the ghost of Nikola Tesla rapping on an ouija board. It's that creepy old drunken uncle we can't make go away who occasionally says something *nearly* sensible...

Now nuclear fusion, okay, *that* we might be able to make work, we understand the principles, small matter of engineering, any day now...

That's how I read it, anyway. With the implication that while there may well be secret 'data', for want of a better term, even perhaps spelling out a secret 'science' if it were understood, nobody actually with the power to make physical nuts-and-bolts devices currently knows how. Nobody that 'we' as in us physically alive today on Earth knows about anyway...

Friggin brilliant Nate.

I dunno. When Paul S. cites Linda Brown as stating that Teller and Brown were together twice (once with the Fan, once at a University), I am taking that as the truth. I don't doubt it. On both occassions Brown went to Teller. There are occassions in the written record when Teller needed something, he got it. eg the student who made a detector of some sort which turned out to be useful in the upper atmosphere tests. Teller wanted it, he got it, and for a period the student HAD to be taken on board and had to shut up about it (Starfish Prime).

Anyhow, I get your point. And the way the AEC and DOE worked/works (can cite examples) does not need establishing by me. Its on the record. Fact is though when one talks about radiation one talks about a raft of things. In one sense, the developments started with Faraday and his little moving wire experiment. Imagine if that had been suppressed because some one figured, well lets keep this secret because one day it will be a weapon of huge magnitude.

Plutonium was classified Limited Secret before the S1 committee had even committed to building the bomb.

As for whatever other applications of the physics involved, they too need not have been mature at the time of suppression. And in 1947, as we can show, the security classification system of the USA changed radically with the introduction of the Born Secret concept. What else is 1947 notiable for? Lots of things, its all happening. But "born secret" was a response to a situation.

I dont want to rewrite Southland Tales here. Fact is if the people who know arent allow to speak until everybody knows, well, we're in a bit of bind arent we?

I think the Vets have shown it isnt a conspiracy theory. You want them and think, were's the theory? And that is a definite thread in Paul's book. Example the Philapephia Experiment corresponds to the the document explosion of the first Uranium plant on the docks at Philapephia. And so it goes on. Im probably making this too complicated. I dont think you can Pauls book conspiracy theory in any sense. I tried to track Bradford Shank. Who's ever heard of him? Linus Pauling for a start. Its in the record. Who was Pauling mates with until he tried to bonk his wife? Oppenhiemer. Where was Oppenhiemer? Los Alamos. Where was Shank? Los Alamos. Nah, Im no academic. But jeez. When you realise the book actually tracks the dissent first noted in the Franck Report, I got to think OK, Shank existed and knew Brown. And where were most of the dissents located ? University of Chicago. Stuff like that, stuff that Paul is not writing about but which happened at the times he comments on validate the epoch at least. If Brown wasnt there then someone else was. If the book is bull, who was it?

And so it is that a key location in the Winterhaven Proposal is the University of Chicago.

Weird.

Ive got the UFO thing filed away for they land on my lawn. (Dim ambitions).

Its a problem. I've satified myself personally that Paul's book is on the money. I have a way of understanding it. Its a peculiar way of understanding it. But it works for me. I let the stuff that doesnt fit my value system flow into the too hard basket without much problem.

On hidden technology, here's an example. http://www.ncku.edu.tw/~nuclmed/teach/S ... tment.html
Ok this treatment recieved FDA approval for use in 1993.
on the ncku edu page above word search "Pecher".
So where did the treatment go from 1941 to 1993? (or strictly 1974 when the European's "found" it). The answer lies in the DOE Opennet.

Why deny a successful pain relief treatment just to hide Joe Hamilton's work? And what happened to Charles Pecher? He died in 1941 at the age of 28. In Canada.

Died Secret.

I mean, if little old me can cite examples of little suppressions of technology, why would I have problems with big ones? Onocology was more advanced in 1941 than it was in 1955, 1965, 1975, 1985, because of the lack of use of Charles Pecher's work. In respect to palliative pain relief.

Now, how far am I inclined to take the rationale gained from that example. All the way buddy, I'm a Leo with Irish in me.

Anyhoo.
Quote:
"BLUE GLOW SHROUDED THE ROOM FOR AN INSTANT, THEN was gone. In that moment, Louis Slotin knew he had received a lethal dose of radiation .....

Eight men had been working in the secret laboratory that day. Called the Omega Site, it was nestled in Pajarito Canyon, four miles from the main compound of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory in New Mexico. Slotin was preparing Alvin C. Graves to take over his duties at the Omega Site. The two stood together at a table with the core of the bomb in front of them. A third man, a junior-level physicist named S. Allan Kline, a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Chicago, had been called over only a moment before the experiment began. Five others stood behind them as Slotin gently brought together the two halves of the beryllium sphere that would convert the plutonium to a critical state. The date was May 21, 1946.

But in less than a millisecond, deadly gamma and neutron radiation had burst from the assembly. The blue glow lighted the room as the air become momentarily ionized.

None of them had been wearing radiation badges, which would have helped register the extent of the exposure. Slotin asked the scientist who had been farthest from the accident to go back and retrieve the film badges out of the lead box where they were stored, and throw them onto the assembly.

The men drove themselves to Los Alamos Hospital, where they were surrounded by teams of specialists who had been preparing for their arrival.

The doctors knew the next two weeks would provide them a unique opportunity. From a civil-defense standpoint, the knowledge gleaned from these cases could prove invaluable in the event of a nuclear war. For the first time, doctors and scientists would have a chance to view the effect of measurable levels of neutron radiation on humans without the complicating factor of other damages from a bomb. Before the week was over, experts from all over the country had been flown in.

For Kline, the next days were hard. The men's bodily fluids and excretions were gathered day and night and tested for radiation. Doctors watched the steady concurrent rise and fall of the victims' blood counts, blood pressure and temperature as the radiation ran its course through their bodies.

Fearing that the gold inlays in Kline's teeth were radiating damaging rays into his jawbone, constituting a threat of future cancer, the scientists decided to shield them with a mouthpiece made of gold foil. It was not thick enough to absorb the radiation. A second mouthpiece was made of heavy solid gold. Kline wore it for five days, until the radiation in his inlays subsided.

On the ninth day, Louis Slotin died."
.........

1947 - (Insert UFO flap) (insert Born Secret Legislation)
..........

continued:
"That June, Allan Kline entered Yale Law School. All that year, letters went back and forth between Kline and the A.E.C., culminating, on Aug. 16, 1948, with an offer from the commission of a cash settlement of $3,333, in exchange for an agreement that Kline would drop all claims. The evidence indicates he turned it down.......

IN 1984, QUITE BY CHANCE, I discovered a 270-page dossier, most of it legal and medical evidence pertaining to Allan Kline's exposure and his subsequent medical problems. It had been compiled by the A.E.C. and stored in cardboard boxes in the radiological archives at the University of Tennessee, where I was researching my master's thesis. The thesis I had been planning was on an unrelated subject, but because I came from a family knowledgeable about radiation issues, I knew immediately that this particular file was significant.

I told him that I knew he had employed three different law firms in an effort to get his records. And that finally he had been told by the director of the Los Alamos laboratory that the files simply no longer existed, that in fact those records might have never been collected in the first place.

''I have in my hands the files that are not supposed to exist,'' I told him. For a few seconds there was silence on the line. But this time, he did not hang up........."

Charles Pecher died by gunshot to the head inside a Police station in Joliett, Canada, in 1941. Suicide. "They" did not do it. In ANY sense at all. But they failed to protect him. His wife was pregnant. He was Belgian, the son of the former Minister for Colonies - Belgian Congo. He had mapped the biochemistry of radio strontium from food to cow's milk in 1940.

His is a file that does not exist. For years all that was cited were formerly secret reports which cited his work but the reports which cited the reports did not cite the original citations.
(huh? ).
Laboratory of Biochemistry, Department of Dairy Science ...
In late May and early June of 1957, the special Subcommittee on Radiation. of the Joint Committee oll Atomic Energy of the Congress of the United States, ...http://jds.fass.org/cgi/reprint/41/12/1647.pdf
jds.fass.org/cgi/reprint/41/12/1647.pdf (interesting nonsense 'cause they didnt ADD THE DOSES UP)
Until Commoner, Pauling, Schwietzer and Murray.

This is my background when I read Paul's book and I see NOTHING UNUSUAL. SITUATION NORMAL. The rest of society exists to give the people who have experienced and know reality a hard time. Or so they hope.

Lots of files dont exist.

Yea, done; that's it, all I know. And dont know. A Southland Tale.
Starts off with particle accelerators and ends up with (arithmetical) Cattle mutilations.
(ie Sr89 activity for 100days + activity for Sr90 + ALL THE REST)(near enough)

Where should I put the Alien Probe? Does it matter? Its pretty well done the rounds by now.
Cut to the theme to 'SHAFT"........
