" JUST KNEW AHEAD OF TIME"

Post by Elizabeth Helen Drake »

Forgive me Paul for adding still another post but I listen pretty hard to what Mr. Twigsnapper suggests and I have gotten the impression that we have much to talk about here and ....as he said .... we needed a bigger boat. So here it is folks.

The subject?. Doctor Browns "gift" which we have been talking about all along. Some sort of alternate perception of what others take as reality?

Do we even have the right words to encompass it. ESP? Psychic ability? How was it that he seemed to "know ahead of time?" How is it that he seemed to KNOW that his prototypes would work even BEFORE all of the quantum math had been figured out . ( As far as I know some of it , most of it, remains unsolved) but yet in a blinding flash Townsend Brown saw that his units would work and simply built them. And from what Paul has drawn from his research , he had powerful help.

Townsend Brown also seems to have understood that what he was given as a gift also carried the profound responsibility that he not let his work fall into hands which could not also see those responsibilities. The man spent his entire adult life apparently living a life that protected and sheltered this knowledge.

I have been slowly coming to the conclusion that perhaps he himself was "blowing the smoke" that would redirect others AWAY. Why would a man who loved his work and knew of its importance bury it so deeply? if in fact this was the case? Think on that for awhile would you please?. Your ideas?

My thought is that his efforts were directed as sort of a “delaying tacticâ€

Ah, sleepless nights

Mikado,

Sleepless nights are caused sometimes by the Dorito pieces loose in the sheets. <g>

Absolutely, positively right Mikado. The transfer of information.

Elizabeth Helen Drake,
Perhaps You should be answering this ?
The word KNOW causes me quite a few problems, I often get called arrogant, I dont mean to, or want to sound such, but if You KNOW something, then you talk about it in a positive fact way, and you can appear as arrogant.
The bizzar thing is that I spent Friday in France, trying to exist on my wits , as I manage to do.
Whilst there I always wander around the megalithic sites and their stunning cathederals.
I sort of got stuck in a cathederal yesterday, because a funeral trapped me at the far end , and I didn't want to just march through , so I sat and watched, the bit that really interested me was when the smoke arrived, they fill incense burners and wander about filling the place with it.
Remember that they are lit from many coloured pieces of glass.
I have mentioned before about Abbot Suger, this man KNEW things, I KNOW he did.
He ran France, basically invented gothic architecture, and spent half of Frances wealth upon rare jewels, this was not out of greed, but a desire to SEE his god.
The Cathedrals were layed out by very, very clever dowsers, I KNOW they were, aligned and positioned to take full use of the ELF signals and what flows along them.
I made sure I was central in the cathedral yesterday when they started with the incense, unless you realise what I do you would barely notice what it reveals.
I consider Abbot Suger will have seen his god.
Ashs to ashs, dust to dust, from dust to life.
Positive and negative unattracted come from, and return to the same system, for ever and ever.
Where it comes from in the first place, I dont KNOW.

trust

Post by twigsnapper »

Elizabeth,

Trust in the things that you KNOW, even when no one else around you can see it. Just go with it. As kevin said.

And I have had some recollections of an old friend who is retiring on Saturday. He was the best horsetrainer there ever was. Not the richest or the most famous but he knew his animals because he loved them and loved the life.He had the gift of KNOWING ahead of time too.

He and "Silent Tom Smith" shared a tack room at Caliente in the 30s, and he saddled his last horse .... which finished third .... just a few days ago. ( The horse was named ...... " Threeatonce", which I thought maybe you would appreciate Elizabeth. )

So I am taking some time too to honor an old friend and will be wheels down about noon. Perhaps we will be in the same place at the same time? Its not all that hard Elizabeth . You can do this. twigsnapper

my daughter says

Post by Mark Culpepper »

Mr. Twigsnapper,

My daughter says that she wants to work for you someday.

She claims she has figured out who " Silent Tom Smith was" and who the trainer was that you mentioned. And she wondered, if she was at the Saturday thing, would she get a chance to meet you? She can't be of course. She just wanted you to know that she had figured it out about Threeatonces' trainer.

Which entirely leaves me in the dust but she knows her horses thats for sure.

Our absolute best to you Sir. Her research is coming along splendidly. MarkC.

Psychic phenomena. Wee!

Back in high school, not so many years ago, I met an old lady who substitute taught my health class. She did nothing related to the class's material at all, which was fine, since the material was all a bunch of crap anyway. But she talked to us a bit about people's energy fields, and then walked around and told everybody how they viewed themselves and what they aspired to. She pegged me dead on, which surprised me. After class I went up to her and asked her to teach me how to do what she did, and I learned it. (See? I DO talk to old folks. )

It required looking for the right things, but more importantly, it required shutting your mind up and listening to what comes. That's why most meditation is focused on clearing your mind, rather than putting more in there: so you can listen. That principle of shutting your mind up has applied to learning other "psychic" skills across the board. Some people are more sensitive than others. My brother can describe to people images they're holding in their heads, and he sees the image change as soon as they change it. I haven't been able to do it yet, but then I haven't practiced that much either.

What's my point?

Perhaps like so many other questions of how Townsend Brown did the amazing things he did, the only answer lies in trying to do the amazing things he did. If it was a skill that could be learned, then Brown's aptitude probably gave him a big leg up, but that doesn't necessarily mean we can't follow where he went.

So, was it cataracts that did him in? I can't believe he'd have eye surgery. I'm with his wife; he was crazy (crazy in love w/ his horses)! And his wife of 73 years must have been crazy in love with him. It must have been some celebration! I guess it was his birthday party too? 96? Were you a "horse in sheep's clothing" that night?

Threeatonce is owned by Triple Play Stables, which is in my backyard! The manager is actually his grandson.

I don't know horses like 'Lisa' does, but I do know that I would have paid handsomely to be a fly on the wall of a room full of men and women reminiscing 70+ years of history together 8)

You guys have got to see the movie "Next" starring Nickolas Cage. I thought that I was back in the pages of this forum! I actually understood some of what was being said because of what we have talked about here! Won't spoil it by talking about it, but Paul. you HAVE to go see it!

I have alot of thoughts about the way the movie is made but I don't want to spoil it for you. It is EXACTLY what we all have been talking about here. This man saw just enough and knew just enough ahead of time to walk through a maze of possibilities. You gotta see it!

I understand that Nick Cage produced it too and I wondered what it was that sold him on this project. His character oddly was sort of reminiscent of Dr. Brown I think especially a scene where he first meets her in a diner and goes through the various possibilities of actions he could take, landing successfully on the "littleboylost" character which of course brought her to his aid and assistance. I could not help but think of Dr. Brown from what Mr. Twigsnapper has said about him and the various women in his life. And notice how Cage uses his ability but was wise enough to maintain an exceptionally low profile. In fact all of the dialogue for the first few minutes felt to me like it was Dr. Brown speaking. You will see what I mean!

Think Cage would be a good Dr. Brown in your movie? See this before you answer. grinder

visions and authors

Post by twigsnapper »

On the author of The Golden man ... from which NEXT was drawn
Philip K Dick, of course.

"In February and March 1974, Dick experienced a series of visions and auditions including an information-rich "pink light" beam that transmitted directly into his consciousness. A year after the events, in March 1975, Dick summarized the 2-3-74 experiences that would pervade his writing for the final eight years of his life:
"I speak of The Restorer of What Was Lost The Mender of What Was Broken."

"March 16, 1974: It appeared - in vivid fire, with shining colors and balanced patterns - and released me from every thrall, inner and outer.

"March 18, 1974: It, from inside me, looked out and saw the world did not compute, that I - and it - had been lied to. It denied the reality, and power, and authenticity of the world, saying, 'This cannot exist; it cannot exist.'

"March 20, 1974: It seized me entirely, lifting me from the limitations of the space-time matrix; it mastered me as, at the same time, I knew that the world around me was cardboard, a fake. Through its power of perception I saw what really existed, and through its power of no-thought decision, I acted to free myself. It took on in battle, as a champion of all human spirits in thrall, every evil, every Iron Imprisoning thing."

And Trickfox, I believe it was you who just a couple of days ago mentioned BladeRunner.

Ah, a champion indeed. twigsnapper

Twigsnapper,

I was just describing to LindaB about "The Golden Man" two nights ago when we saw the trailer for "Next."

The local library where I grew up (Ohio Univ.) had a large science fiction section (which I grew up on), and it's nice to occassionally see stories from the golden age of science fiction pop up as movies.

I'm still waiting for "Too Soon to Die," "Door to Anywhere," "The Stars my Destiny," and "Starhammer," my four favorites.

I have alot to say about "Next" too. Have you seen it yet Paul? Can't really talk about it too much unless you have seen it but thought that you would appreciate that I got myself in some of the scenes in the Casino! Would you recognize me? What? I didn't make a blazing screen presence?

No, actually I was lucky to be included in a couple of the scenes. My friend is involved in "security" for that sort of thing (How I get to rub elbows with such interesting types and I was able to be in the crowd at the Morongo Casino when they filmed there. Don't fret about finding me though. Even I have trouble finding me! That Casino is on the way to Palm Springs and in the movie you are supposed to think that you are in Vegas. Not so actually!

I do have so much to say about the movie Paul! The scenes around Long Beach Harbor were chilling. So called "experts" say that sort of terrorist attack is not a matter of "if" but "when" and that is a real worrysome situation. And it could happen just as fast as in the movie. To the characters out there like " Frank Cadillac" ..... more power to them. REALLY.
