Dr. Brown related to people at their level of understanding. He was always kind and patient with me. The best piece of knowledge he left with my future husband was: soak the dishes after eating.
He also lived without fear of his fellow man. Sleeping outside on a porch that people pasted by within 10 feet, seemed to be asking for trouble. He just smiled at my fear for his safety.
He truely was a teacher who lived his message without the need to preach.

soaking dishes?
Neenie,
Thank you so much for joining our group! And I must say, while researching Dr. Browns life I have never discovered anything about his advice on soaking dishes! I love that!
Can you tell us a little bit more how you happened to have met Dr. Brown? You mentioned that you were worried about his safety ... sleeping on a porch outside? Can you tell us a little more? Thanks again for giving us this wonderful insight into Dr. Browns character. Elizabeth
