Elizabeth's message
Hi Elizabeth, The era was magical. Dr. & Mrs. Brown created a haven for Patrick and myself. Can you imagine charging Patrickonly $10.00 a month to live at the bird park?!! They never treated us like hired help. They even let us use the golf cart to haul up supplies. Loved Mrs. Browns deep laugh ...

Patrick's age
Greetings Twigsnapper
Patrick was 21 when he met Dr. Brown and was awarded the shirt shortly afterwards. Think Mrs Brown saw a way to get rid of a shirt that jiust wouldn't leave. Actually, it looks brand new. Sewed a couple of moth holes, but it does look great - not faded at all! Scary!!! Noreen

Dr. Brown's shirt
Hi Twigsnapper, Did you ever see Dr Brown wear his favorite red plaid wool Pendleton shirt? Mrs. Brown insisted he get rid of it after decades of use. Patrick has now been wearing it for 30+ years. It still looks new. Wonder if Dr. Brown dipped it in a solution of longevity? Alas, Patrick is keeping...

Twigsnapper & painting
Greetings Twigsnapper, Mentioned to Patrick about you painting that avocado green for Dr. Brown. He said you probably heard the phrase, “I’ll have my men do it.â€

4 o'clock fish
Hi Twigsnapper, The reply to that question of the 4 o'clock fish never went through. Dr. Brown offer that mixture once. Politely said, "No thank you" and made the face of a 5 year old that was offered worms instead of candy. He laughed. I ate the m&m's that he seemed to avoid (because ...

Dr Brown's favorite color
Hi Victoria,
Patrick corrected the color. Lime green was the color we used to paint Linda's baby area. Avocado green was his favorite and had that color was used to where Patrick doesn't own anything in that tone! (He got to do the painting.) Neenie

Horse conversation
Hi Victoria, Think Dr. Brown had the ability to create the atmosphere that the world is a friendly place. Didn't know as much about the horses, but did get to see the love he had for Linda and his granddaughter. He tried to have a cozy environment set up for their arrival. Patrick remembers lime gre...

Hi Trickfox, Since I am probably the least scientific of the bunch, the only thought that comes up about the pea story - What if a fish eats it? Neenie

The Mirror project
Hi Mark & Paul- Patrick said Dr. Brown felt this was his easiest patent he had and he wanted the cash flow it would generate for his other projects. Alas, he didn't accomplish that goal.

Few answers for Mark
Yes, Linda got me into writing in a journal. We also picked flowers to press and make cards and bookmarks. Dr. Brown decided to move to the Island and accomplished it in a long weekend. I don't think Linda even knew why the move to the island, but he seemed to love islands. Neenie

Some Answers
Linda said she didn't make friends at school, so books became her friends.
She came over after the Browns were there. She brought her new baby, Jennifer. The baby carriage was the old fashion type. She worked in town.
(Hope this is short enough) Neenie
