That conference was in 1994, and put on by Patrick bailey at INE. They still have a description of the conference at: http://www.padrak.com/ine/INE7.html . I had forgotten that Josh Reynolds was one of the usual line-up of speakers. I think INE has gone by the wayside since then. None of us had anyt...

By responding, I think I'm just fanning the fire :P , but Linda and I have discussed having a larger place that we could just shut down in the winter (except for Christmas and New Year's balls) or whenever we wanted, and have conferences, etc. I'd rather have a place that we weren't dependent on for...

Actually, I felt it was a bit more than my usual 2 cents worth, and wanted to throw in the CRV as well (bottles, cans, etc.) for added value  I'm from Dover, NH originally (my father taught at UNH), and have been trying to get back there ever since we moved to Ohio when I was 4. A few years ag...

Trickfox and all, We all go through life saying some variation to the effect of, "if I had the opportunity to ___", or "if I could get a break I could ____," and we spend much of our conscious and unconscious life thinking on, wishing, and praying for that opportunity. If we are ...

What I forgot to put in was a quote that is floating around the net: "A German antenna was erected during the Second World War called Goliath. It was quite efficient but was limited both in power and efficiency by the wartime lack of copper and other suitable materials. It was used for submarin...

Antenna

Hi All, Sorry to come in so late - I missed this thread. I'm going to make some observations, which may or may not have anything to do with the photo. The antenna in the photo is rather unusual, but looks to be some type of NORD antenna at first glance. It seems to be lifted off the ground in a coun...

Martin, That's a good question, which I wish I could answer better. Kitselman was a very interesting and colorful character whom I hope Paul goes into some detail. I was joking with Elizabeth a few weeks ago about wanting to play the role of Kitselman if a movie were ever to be made, but apparently ...

Crackerjacks !! We've got our own birthday party right here ! Thank you all for your kind wishes :) To answer Martin's question on how I met the Brown Family, I was 18 in the fall of 1986, and had just gotten in a little scrape with the law (nothing serious - just stupid "you really know better...

Hi Annemarie, Glad you finally jumped in. Linda spent most of her life supporting (as laboratory assistance, and physically and emotionally) her father. Remember that she went to some 40-odd schools before graduating from highschool, plus all of the smoke and mirrors going on around her. It is only ...

Yes, it is interesting. It seems as though some unknown informant contacted Moore, and provided the story. Or, perhaps as you suggested, Moore and Berlitz made up the whole story. Allende certainly didn't seem to have any faith in Moore or the informant. The quote comes from one of the letters that ...

Since this is sort of a time travel line of thought, I was up late last night and caught Frequency with Dennis Quaid. It's one of my favorites. In the movie, only the son and father are aware of changes being made as they commnicate through a ham radio over a period of 30 years. One theory I remembe...

Nuts. Why is it I feel like I'm being baited every time Victoria brings up Moore's name? I suppose that is the one fish food we both like to chew on. Perhaps I should quote Carlos Allende, the one man who originally claimed to have been on the sister ship, S.S. Andrew Furuseth, in one of his letters...

Alas, my efforts to protect my dear, sweet, innocent wife from our motley group have been in vain

Where would you go?

When I try to pin-point somewhere I would go outside of my life-line, it would be to the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago - the Electricity Building.

Soteria Website

Yes, Soteria as in Salvation Hebrews 2:10. The name "Qualight" is somewhat unique to Brown's work, and as this part of the project has grown, it seemed fitting to use it instead. The reason I haven't switched over completely to qualight.com is purely logistics (ok, well, a bit of laziness)...
