On November 11, 2006, I addressed the assembled multitudes at the UFO Crash Retrieval Conference with an elaborate Powerpoint presentation summarizing my investigations into the life of T. Townsend Brown. The presentation was video recorded, and here, at last, is a web-compliant copy of that video.
This is my first time posting a video like this to the web, and I see the quality is not all that robust. The original DVD looks pretty good. But in order to get that on the web, I had to first convert it back into digital video on my hard drive, convert it to a Windows Media file, and upload that to Google. Google then converts the file into into a flash presentation, which I have embedded into this page below. I had encoded the picture at 320x240px in order to keep the file small, but the 63 minutes still translated into a 245MB file; Now it appears that the default screen size for Google Video is more like 600x450px, so the resulting video is not to smooth. There is also a synch problem with the audio. So I have much to learn about perfecting this process of posting videos to the web.
But enough of that. This is certainly good enough so that those of you who have been waiting can see what all the fuss was about. If you want to skip all the preliminaries (i.e. the introduction by Ryan Wood), the actual presentation starts at about 3:30 into the video, and the new stuff – the "ROTS" after 1942 – starts at about 37:30.
So, if you get bored with football tomorrow, here’s something else to tune into. Just click the "play" button beneath the picture to start the video.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
