Chapter 71: Missing Daddy describes another chapter in the endless travels of Townsend Brown and his family. It also explores his involvement in the mid-1950s with NICAP, the forerunner of all citizen UFO investigating organizations.
Of greater interest though will be the glimpse we are given into a little-known aspect of Dr. Brown’s career: his work on the first reconnaissance satellites. There is really not a whole lot of information available on that particular subject. But, in the course of researching this chapter, I was sent a link to this page at the NRO’s website, noting a long list of "pioneers" in that agency work. After naming like 40 such individuals, there is a notation at the very bottom of the page that says "*One Pioneer requested no identification."
We think we know who that Pioneer was.
